It's been a while...

To say it's been a busy year in my office would be a serious understatement...So I'm back to say hey to everyone and wish you all a Merry Christmas!!!! YES, MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!!!! Not Happy Holidays or Seasons Greetings.....MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!!!! On another note, I found this quote and wanted to share it.

COMMITMENT TO EXCELLENCE

Commitment is what transforms a promise into reality. It is the words that speak boldly of your intentions...And, the actions which speak louder than the words. It is making the time where there is none. Coming through time after time, year after year. Commitment is the stuff character is made of: the power to change the face of things. It is the daily triumph of integrity over skepticism.

This hangs in our office to remind us every day of why we do what we do. To all other peace officers out on the job, remember, WE WORK FOR GOD!!!!!! Here's to another year of success and safety.

The Fall classic.....

Happy Halloween everybody!...With the exception of Christmas, this is the greatest holiday of the year....You gotta love shopping for a costume at your favorite department store and trying on masks....My 16 year old loved the fact I was acting like a complete goof and yelling out "You will respect my author-i-tie!....I was still able to get her to take the pic for me though....Be safe and have fun!

There are just some things you shouldn't do anymore.....

Okay...so I've talked about how much I love my job right?....I get a call about a month ago from a buddy who works at the agency I used to work for....While working there I was an agitator for the K9 unit as back then I had high aspirations to become a K9 officer....For whatever reasons that didn't work out and I am where I am and love what I do....But from time to time I have always helped out whenever they needed an extra agitator for training and what not....So during this recent call he asked me to be an agitator for the K9 trials being held by his agency....I said sure why not?....I remember how much fun it was and being around the awesome power of a police K9....GOOD TIMES!!!!!....It was a great trial and I was the agitator for what they call muzzle work....As you can see in the photos I was the bad guy with a gun and the dogs get to pummel me with there covered snouts and huge front paws....I was originally told I would be in a full bite suit which keeps me from being bruised, scratched, and most importantly BIT!!!....But when I arrived I was informed I wasn't needed for the bite suit but for the muzzle work....(I think it was intentionally given to me like this over the phone so I would agree to help). Unfortunately for me the fun didn't last past the next morning as it took a friggin fork lift to get my beat up 39 1/2 year old body out of bed....Which I am still feeling today and probably will feel until the end of the week....There are just some things you shouldn't do anymore.

The KING!!!!!

The greatest guitarist ever!!!!

NEVER Forget!!!!!!!

Hard to believe it's been 7 years since 19 POS cowardly bastards attempted to destroy this nation. I won't repeat all the cliches that have been created since this terrible day. All I will say is that I will NEVER forget the sacrifice made by the brothers and sisters of NYPD, NY/NJ Port Authority PD, and FDNY. If you see a cop or fireman today just smile and say thanks.

Are you as sick of this as I am???

I've been a Raiders fan since I was a littel kid. I grew up in Fremont where everything for me was Raiders and A's. This year was a disappointment with the A's but they have kept themselves in the hunt for the playoffs in recent years. With the exception of 2002, the Raiders have sucked for the last two decades. We had a great coach in Jon Gruden but the powers that be (Damn you Al Davis!!!!) cut him loose and he respectfully left to Tampa Bay. He then respectfully KICKED OUR ASSES in the Super Bowl the next year. The time has come. Either Al Davis needs to die or maybe I need to decide if it's time to give another team my support. Don't get me wrong, I love the Raiders and always will. But I want something to cheer about, not something where I walk into the office the next morning and hear the ration of shit from everyone who follows the front runners (Damn Cowboy fans). Help me Obi One Kenobi, you're our only hope!!!!

2 weeks in Sacramento....

I've been away for awhile. Spent 2 weeks in Sacramento learning how to be a better investigator. Learned about scenes, bugs, viewed an autopsy, good stuff man!!! Sacramento was a fun place as well. Visited the Capitol and the Peace Officers Memorial. If you get the chance to see this do so. Old Sac was cool as well. Joe's Crab Shack was a frequent hang out for us. But the area called Natomas was probably the best part aside from the training. Lots of places to eat, shop, and most of all view the scenery (see photo). The one on my right is Virginia from Tennessee, and the one on my left is Rachel from Sacramento. It's so good to be a man!!! I swear we only go for the food. I highly recommend the naked wings, all drums, with medium hot sauce, topped off with one (or two or three...) 24 oz. Bud Light drafts. The mugs are ice cold and ice flows off of the sides as you are drinking. Perfect!!!! I gained back about 5 pounds while there, but it was worth it and I have dropped 2 of those pounds since I got back.
